I’m PREGNANT!

Whoa, crazy, exciting … right?  I’m happy to share this wonderful news with you guys!  Miss Eva is going to be a BIG sister!  Will you please take this as my excuse for it being so quiet around here on Shabby Grace Blog?!  I’m feeling SO much better and my blog groove is coming back to life.

The beginning of the pregnancy was really hard for me.  Thankfully, I’ve been feeling better, consistently.  This makes life a whole lot easier! And, It’s a boy.  Oh man, we are pumped.

Uncommongoods is not only a place where you can find unique items, but also focuses on being environmentally friendly, socially acceptable and creating a rewarding environment to work in.  Their goals are to be more “green” and provide exciting and creative merchandise.  Many of their products are handmade, recycled and organic.  If you know me, this is right up my alley!   Another thing I love about this company is how they believe in giving back.  In 2001, they developed a program where you can choose a non-profit of your choice when you checkout and $1 will be donated to them.  How cool is that?

One way we shared the news with Eva (Our daughter) is by purchasing this adorable personalized book through Uncommongoods by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Lynn Munsinger.  It’s called, “what big Sister Eva does best.”  You customize the name and even write a personalized message in the opening page.  It’s super cute and illustrates all the things a big sister does.  She was thrilled when she opened the package.  Her and “daddy-o” (as she calls him) read the book together.  It melted my heart.  She couldn’t be happier to be getting a little brother.  She talks about purchasing him diapers, clothes, a car seat etc.  I mean, we will really see how she feels about it when he makes his appearance.  Yikesss.

Next on my list was a little something for baby boy.  At the time I was purchasing items, I didn’t know what we were having.  I got him this adorable, handmade,  birth year box.  It’s very gender neutral.

2016 is the year of the monkey.

It’s perfectly crafted by Kerri Lee.  She included a space for the baby’s name and date of birth.  I have already filled it with his ultrasound and our note from the doctor telling us the gender.

Find it HERE.

Lastly, I picked this adorable Organic Cotton Teethers Veggie Crate by Janice Masoud.

There’s SO many items I had my eye on for little guy!  If you’re expecting (or getting married) you can even create a registry.   Let’s check out some of my favorites.  Also, be sure to check out their Baby Gifts, Baby Shower Gifts and Kid’s Gifts.

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll continue to keep ya posted on the little guys adventure.  He should be making his appearance in October.  Gosh, I love Octobers…. Happy shopping!
