White Barn Vintage

SL and WB Booths 058

Say hello to Janet!  She is the owner of White Barn Vintage.  White Barn Vintage has three amazing booth locations, Collette’s Vintage Art & Antiques (Burton, MI), The Shops at 101 (Holly, MI) and Memories Antique Mall (Rankin, MI).

The name, White Barn Vintage, says it all when it’s come to Janet’s style.  Her items and style are RIGHT up my alley.  Her booth is always stocked with all kinds of goodies, from larger items to smalls.  She always has great seasonal items too.  The deer she makes at Christmas time, A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E.  Her handmade pumpkins during the fall, LOVE them!

Check out some of her current items!  Keep an eye out for her large bird and nest!  So dang cute!  Janet also sells Wise Owl Chalk Paint.  She’ll always let you know on her Facebook page when her booths are restocked!

What did I pick up?

I grabbed this cute little cutting board for the kitchen!

Shabby Love

SL and WB Booths 003

Meet Melissa!  She’s the owner of the Shabby Love booth at Collette’s Vintage Art & Antiques.

Melissa’s booth is ONE of a kind and it’s always my first stop when I head to Collette’s.  When you first walk in, her booth is directly to your right.  She always has unique pieces AND she has a fabulous blog.

Melissa enjoys having pieces of history around her home.  She said antiquing is “in her blood,” as she grew up doing it.  She loves hunting for new pieces!  Melissa has had her booth for 3 years, since Collette’s opened.  So, when you make your trip to Collette’s, don’t forget to peek in Shabby Love’s booth!

Current items:

Some of my favorites include the small antique watering can and her yard stick stool!

Don’t forget to like her Facebook page for booth updates!

Collette’s Vintage Art & Antiques

Welcome to Collette’s Vintage Art & Antiques.

This morning, Miss Shabby Grace herself insisted on making a trip here.  How could I say no?  So, after breakfast we headed north on M-15.

Collette’s is HUGE and a lot of fun.  It has been open for 3 years and has 300 booths! HOLY SMOKES!  I definitely have my favorite booths.  I mean, who wouldn’t?  We all have our different styles.  Regardless, there’s something for everyone.  For some, it’s a walk down memory lane!  When you plan your trip, set some time aside.  You could walk this place for HOURS!  Leave the kiddos at home or grab the baby carrier, snacks, toys … whatever you gotta do!

Check out some items that caught our eye this mornin’:

 Curious what we bought?

I snagged these goodies from Shabby Love.

First Stop: The Rusted Coop

RC Blog 085

Meet Brandy!  She’s the owner of The Rusted Coop in Byron, MI.

The Rusted Coop is a fantastic little barn snuggled back in the woods.  It’s filled with shabby, chippy and perfectly rusty furniture and home decor.  Brandy enjoys running her store that has been open for almost two years.  She offers custom furniture painting and creates custom window decal designs.  Her store is open by appointment.  Swing over to her Facebook page and show her some love!  She’s always updating her page with the latest and greatest inventory.  Contact her directly for pricing, appointments and custom items.  When I’m in her neck of the woods, I always stop in!

Here are some of The Rusted Coop’s current goodies:

And while we’re at it, here’s some goodies I’ve picked from her in the past:

This lovely mailbox goes perfectly in our mudroom.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Who inspires you?

Have you ever watched the show, Fixer Upper, on HGTV?  Well, you should.  Go set the DVR now!  It’s currently hands down my favorite show on HGTV.  It’s about a couple (Chip & Joanna Gaines) from Waco, Texas, who fix up the ugliest house on the best block.  Their chemistry on the show is awesome!  Chip cracks me up and Joanna just loves him to death.  They are real and the show isn’t all “drama-ish.” So, who inspires me?  Joanna Gaines!

Check out some of my favorite spaces from their home and homes on their show.

table

First, lemme clear this up.  I’m a SUCKER for old architectural pieces.  I mean, look at this table.  Those arches used for legs!  Brilliant!

openfloorplan

Can we say, open floor plan!  No need to say more …..

corbel

I’m slightly in love with old chippy corbels.  THIS will happen in our new kitchen.  Just need to find the perfect one!

livingroom

Where do I start with this picture?  Hello, I want that coffee table.  It reminds me of something I would find at a beach house.  The buffet is adorable.  I’m searching for one of them as well.  The dark top is a nice contrast with the white body, perfecto!  And finally, the gate on the wall.  Such a great piece.  Well done Joanna!

lights

Ohhhhh her kitchens…. please come do our kitchen Joanna!  I’m begging you!  See those light counter tops?  I wanted them.  Only option is marble (Not durable enough for a kitchen in MY opinion) or quartz.  Sooo we searched high and low for a lighter granite, and found one.  I chose this picture primarily for the hanging pendants above the island.  To me, this screams industrial chic.  My kind of stuff!

coffeebar

Coffee Bar = Heaven on Earth

Kitchen

Subway title, let’s get married!  Yes, this is coming into our kitchen!  It’s so classic and timeless.  Using gray grout with those counter tops is fantastic ….  I wish I had gray to pull from in our new granite to do the same!  Also, that farm sink.  Who doesn’t love a big ol’ white farm sink?!

mantle

This beauty ….. this picture right here had me on a hunt for months!  I wanted a mantle so bad but wasn’t willing to spend $500.  I finally found one late last year.  It was perfect for Christmas decorating.  There’s so much you can do with a piece like this.  It easily adds that country/rustic feel to any kind of home!

store

And finally, her store.  I WILL go there one day.  It’s in Waco, Texas.  The hubs passes through there a lot due to work.  I’m trying to get him to stop and FaceTime me / shop.  I’ll take it any way I can!!!!

Any of these catch your eye like they did mine?
