DIY Tray Art Organizer

It’s time again for another “Create and Share.”  I still think this is just an awesome idea!  A group of bloggers use ONE item and create their own masterpiece.  This month’s “Create and Share” is an unfinished tray.

Tray Before 1

Each participate purchased the tray HERE.

Remember last month’s Fall Tablescape and DIY Name Cards?  You can take a peek HERE.  Some great ideas with the Holidays right around the corner.

Tray Paint

I gave her a quick sand job as there was some loose wood pieces, especially around the handles.  A couple weeks ago, while at IKEA, I found this colored wood stain.  I chose a teal stain and applied it to the tray.

Tray Blue

I like how the wood grain still peeks through the stain.  I then found some small buckets in the dollar section at Target.  I used Gorilla Glue and glued them to the bottom of the tray.

Tray Final 1

Our daughter is REALLY into art lately.  She really does a great job painting!

Tray Final 2

This caddy is perfect for her me to store all her supplies in.

Tray Final 7

I also like that it has handles.  She can move the tray around herself if she’s working in a different area.

Tray Final 4

Tray Final 6

I think painting is her favorite.  Second would be markers.  Usually the arms and legs get colored too.

Tray Final 3

It’s such a colorful piece!

Tray Final 5

Love it? Pin it!
