Fall Home Tour 2016

Welcome to my 2016 Fall Home Tour.  I can’t believe we are here again!  There’s so much I adore about Fall….Pumpkins, apple picking, hot cider, sweatshirts, the changing leaves, HALLOWEEN, caramel apples and cozy nights snuggled under a blanket watching a movie.  It always seems to go so fast so I try to enjoy every moment.

Usually, I’m really excited to decorate for Fall.  This year, I wasn’t too anxious to get the pumpkins rockin’.  I think, because we just finished a lot of construction around here and I finally have the rooms “together,” so going in and changing things right away wasn’t too appealing.  My decor this year is very simple and light.  I plan on changing it up for Halloween in a couple weeks.  I’m scheduled to have our son on 10/21 so I’m hoping to have Halloween up before then.  Our daughter adores Halloween just as much as I do so I have to get that task in before the big day.

Also, special thanks to Meg at Green with Decor for putting together this Home Tour hop that’s been happening all week.  It’s so much fun to virtually stroll through other homes and check out their Fall decor.  If you’re popping over from Designing Vibes, hello and welcome!

Come on in.  Let’s take a look!

Coming in through the front door, on the left is our new cozy bench.  We Removed a Closet here and opened the space.

Passing through this space, you’ll enter the living room.

This space has dramatically changed.  Be sure to check these renovations out HERE.

I brought in lots of texture to up the cozy level.

On the other side of the living room is the kitchen and dining room.

Be sure to see our Kitchen Makeover t00!

Caramel apples are a MUST.  #LOVE

Before heading out, let’s peek in the sitting room.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out all the other tours from this week!  Next up is Southern State of Mind and her beautiful tour.

  1. Just gorgeous. I love your spaces – and the touches of fall are beautiful. Where did you find that pumpkin painted pot? I Love it. And I’m also swooning over your rug in your living room.

    1. Awww thanks so much Steph! Girl, that coffee table vignette took 5 hours to complete, LOL. At one point at looked at my husband and said I lost my decorating touch…. LOL it ended so simple, yet my favorite fall decor in the house! Funny how it works like that.

  2. Sara! I don’t even know where to start. Your home looks stunningly gorgeous. All of your hard work has definitely paid off. I cannot believe you have less than a month to go on your pregnancy. I know it probably hasnt flown by for you, but it seems like just yesterday you announced your exciting addition to the family. You are like superwomen doing all of this while 8 months pregnant. You go girl!

    Much Love,

    1. Oh Erica, you made my day! Thank you thank you! It’s been a crazy summer with dust, paint and drywall. Lots of decision making too while pregnant is not fun… thankfully it all worked out and it’s done! Yup, 1 month to go… hopefully I can keep up with this blogging stuff! It’s so hard!

  3. Sara, your home is a delight! I completely understand not wanting to go all out this year, especially after all that y’all have accomplished with the renovations! Even so, you did such a wonderful job of making it a cozy and inviting space! I enjoyed the tour, and your renovations are giving me the motivation I need to keep going with my plans for my home. Thank you! 🙂

  4. Wow, Sarah!! Such stunning photography! I need you to teach me how to shoot windows better, ha! Your home seriously looks AMAZING! I love everything you’ve done! Perfect fall touches 😉 Thanks for sharing your gorgeous fall home with us all!! – Rachael
