Welcome back and I’m so happy you’re here! Today is another big reveal day on the blog. I’m so happy with our Master Bedroom Makeover. It’s more our style, that’s for sure. Before we get started, I want to thank my sponsors for helping me create this beautiful room, with their awesome products!
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post in conjunction with Cariloha, Minted, Nada & Co. and Medreana. All thoughts and opinions of their products are my own.
When creating this room in my head, I envisioned a clean, white and simple room. I wanted all neutral colors with a Fixer Upper / Farmhouse touch. Now, I have to be honest with y’all. There’s still some items missing from this room. I’ve looked long and hard for night stands, lamps and a couple other items, with no luck. I did purchase lamps that I loved, but they were too bulky. Instead of settling, I’ve convinced myself that the right items will come up eventually. So, I’ll keep y’all posted as I find them. Regardless, I think the room looks great.
Before we see the “Afters” let’s take a quick peek at the before pictures again.

Let’s talk bedding. Please note, I reached out to Cariloha, they didn’t reach out to me. I’ve felt their product in person and wanted their bedding for our new retreat. It’s simply, amazing. Every time I’m in the caribbean, I always make a trip into their store. Well, when we were down there this past January, I was in there again. You can feel their bedding right next to Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn’s bedding. The different is unreal. We have been sleeping in our new sheets and duvet cover for over a month. The quality a comfort is spot on. It’s silky smooth, made of bamboo and refreshing. It washes well and I seriously look forward to snuggling into these sheets and duvet cover each night. The sheet’s have deep pockets so it fits our thicker mattress nicely as well.
Keys to cozy bed? Quality sheets, comforter and laying. Because our duvet over is solid white, I added a textured throw (or you can add a quilt) to the bottom of your bed. If you have a solid duvet cover, add a quilt with pattern or color if you’d like. Visa versa if you have a comforter with pattern/color, add a quilt that is solid/neutral. Contrast like that is more appealing to the eye. Did you know, all duvet covers and down comforters aren’t made equally? Measure your duvet cover and comforter, you want your comforter to be bigger than your cover. This will give the appearance of a thicker comforter. Also, invest in a quality comforter.
Next, layer your pillows. I just love the grain sack pillow I received from Medreana all the way from Romania. The quality is top notch and it couldn’t fit better in our little farmhouse master bedroom. The body pillow fills the space and completes the bed. Be sure to check out her Etsy Store HERE.
I pondered the idea of hanging this mantle on the wall. I’m happy to report that my husband and I both love it on the wall. It’s such a unique art piece that adds a lot of charm and character. Nada & Co. in Royal Oak, Michigan, provided me with the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Wax to complete the new look. The details on this makeover can be found HERE.
I found this great vase at the local thrift store. It has wonderful patina. I covered a styrofoam ball in moss and placed in the vase. #Love
This art work, framed in reclaimed barnwood, really fits the look. These pieces are from Minted. The top picture is called Consuegra by Sharon Rowan. The bottom piece is called Presence by Debra Butler.
Another piece I completed for the room was this end table. You can view the full post HERE. Nada & Co. provided the paint for this piece as well.
This cozy corner is my new favorite spot in the house. That lamp? Whoa.
I really hope you enjoyed the tour. The room that was once neglected for many years is now smiling with delight.
Love it? Pin it!

Where did you purchase the tan chair from?
Hi Jennifer, the chair is from TJ Maxx. You can find them randomly still at either Homegoods, TJ or Marshalls. Good luck!
Hi, I was wondering if you could comment on your Pottery Barn Coleman bed. It’s beautiful and I’m thinking of buying one, but I haven’t pulled the trigger because after an exhaustive search, I’ve found zero reviews. Also, the disclaimer on the PB website that states I’ll need to re-tighten hardware from time to time doesn’t give me much confidence as I’m looking at a king size.
Hi Tracy! Sorry for the delay. Our bed has been wonderful and great quality. We have had no issues with retightening the hardware. I highly recommend the bed.
