It’s that time of the year again! Get those seeds planted! I always, always forget, then I get jealous of peeps with their garden and fresh veggies. Then I end up at the farmer’s market, which isn’t too bad after all. So, I’m ahead of the game this year. I planted some herbs. Oh yahhhh!
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post in conjunction with Walnut Hallow. All thoughts and opinions of their products are my own.
Not only is my little herb garden cute, but I also made a really cool tray for it using Walnut Hallow’s Rustic Pallet Tray and Creative Wood Burner. This project is part of my monthly challenge, Create and Share, hosted by Casa Watkins. Walnut Hallow provided three products to us bloggers, we chose our piece and created our own master pieces! Be sure to browse the other projects below for more great ideas.
Here’s my tray before I got to work!
I also gathered a brush, Mod Podge and cute napkins from Ikea.
I cut the napkins, following some of their shapes. I’m normally not a “blue” person, but I couldn’t resist these napkins and I think they’re perfect for Spring.
Next, I painted the pallet using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Pure White from Nada & Co. in Royal Oak, Michigan. Using the Mod Podge, I quickly coated the bottom of the napkin. After it was covered, I placed it on the tray. Finally, I gave the outside of the napkin a coat of Mod Podge to seal it.
Using the Creative Wood Burner I received from Walnut Hallow, I labeled my herbs using craft sticks.
And finally, I planted our herbs!

So cute!!!! I love it! I also have an issue with planting when it’s time. I always end up buying something instead. LOL!
I’m glad I’m not alone!! LOL two years ago my dad built me a beautiful garden. It was all organic and beautiful. Well, our lawn was sprayed and veggies tasted gross…. and then our neighborhood peacock found it… DONE! He lived off that for a while! Too funny.
This is such a fun take on this project! I love the decoupage and the plant markers made with the wood burner!
Thanks so much Tiffany!
