Thrift Shelf Makeover

If you’ve been following me long enough, you know I love to thrift shop AND turn items I find into useful or neat things.  Also, I’m ALWAYS moving our daughter’s play room around and making her room cute and organized.  So, with Eva’s playroom on my mind, I snagged this little shelf up at the Salvation Army.

Now, I didn’t do much to this shelf.  The heart in the corner was broken and falling off so I removed it.  Then, I grabbed Krylon’s “Chalky Finish” Tidal Blue Spray Paint.  I also purchased their sealer.

I gave the shelf a quick coat and once dried I applied a light layer of the sealer.  The finish is great, in my opinion.  It does give the “chalky” appearance.

I brought the self in and put it in Eva’s kitchen corner!  It was perfect for her spices, salt, pepper and some decor.

Miss Eva uses it all the time.

Isn’t she adorable?  🙂

Easy Peasy!  Something simple and donated, made useful again.  I love it.
