Hey! Welcome back. As you can see, I’ve been a busy bee over here lately. Not only have I been working on quite a few projects but, I’ve also been working on my site! Do you like the new look? Let’s say, I’ve been stressing and learning a lot the last couple days. It should be all finished up soon! I appreciate your patience.
So today, HUGE DIY My Spring Blog Hop sponsored by Hometalk! Oh yah, lots of spring inspiration right here guys. Be sure to click around the links below after you check out my easy up-cycled project.
Another. Plant. Stand.
I can’t help it. This spring, I want more GREEN in our home. Last week I shared my $10 DIY Plant Stand that I absolutely adore. And now, another smaller stand is joining this room!
Last summer, someone I went to school with was selling some whiskey barrel pieces online. I ran over and grabbed some with no idea of what I was going to do with them, but ya know, I always need stuff, right?!
While thinking of what I was going to make for this DIY My Spring Blog Hop, it came to me to use the barrel for my plants! Also, I’ve been wanting to use hairpin legs but haven’t pulled the trigger because of their cost. Well, I justified it by purchasing the smallest ones for this little guy. You guys, this turned out so cute!

Here’s my whiskey barrel top. Pretty cool, eh? I love the stamping on there!
It was pretty dirty so I gave it a good scrub and let it air dry. The pieces come apart so I took this over to my dad’s and used wood glue and a clamp.
After drying, the end pieces weren’t too stable so we added a piece of wood to the bottom. After laying the wood down, we screwed the beautiful hairpin legs in! Easy.Peasy.
Here’s the hairpin legs I purchased:
It looks great in it’s new spot! I REALLY like having pieces in our home that no one else has.
How cute is that succulent? Oh man. Melissa at Pig and Rabbit inspired me with this Copper Planter.
White? I love white….
